Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami convened a high-level meeting with senior officials on Tuesday evening, shortly after returning from campaigning in Haryana. The meeting focused on expediting the reconstruction of damaged roads and drinking water lines, along with addressing the prevention of dengue and preparing for an influx of Chardham Yatra devotees.

With the end of the monsoon season, Chief Minister Dhami emphasized the urgent need to commence construction and repair works on a war footing. He instructed that all damaged infrastructure, including connecting roads, drinking water, and electricity lines, be restored promptly. Dhami stressed that any negligence in this campaign would not be tolerated, urging timely action where disaster-related damage had occurred. The Chief Minister also ordered the maintenance of pothole-free roads across the state.

During the review of the Chardham Yatra preparations, Dhami directed officials to ensure all measures are in place to handle the expected increase in devotees post-monsoon, especially up to Diwali. He highlighted that the Yatra should be smooth and trouble-free for pilgrims. Furthermore, addressing the rise in dengue cases, Dhami called for a coordinated effort from the health department and other stakeholders to effectively control the outbreak. He mandated a particular focus on cleanliness in both urban and rural settings to curb the spread of the disease.
