Tripura Honors the Legacy of S.D. Burman on His 118th Birth Anniversary

Tripura celebrated the 118th birth anniversary of legendary music composer Sachin Dev Burman, also known as Sachin Da, with great enthusiasm. The occasion was marked by various cultural programs across the state, honoring his monumental contributions to Indian cinema and music.

Tributes flowed from musicians, political leaders, and fans, all remembering Burman's timeless songs that continue to captivate audiences. Known for blending classical Indian ragas with folk tunes, his compositions shaped Bollywood's golden era. Celebrations in Agartala included performances of his iconic songs and a discussion on his impactful legacy, attended by notable figures from the music and film industry.

Chief Minister Manik Saha paid homage to the maestro, highlighting Burman's legacy as a source of pride for Tripura. He emphasized that Burman's work continues to inspire musicians and creatives nationwide. The program, organized by Tripura's ICA department, also saw the presence of PK Chakraborty, secretary of Cultural Affairs, and other dignitaries.
