A tense situation unfolded at Dehradun Railway Station on Thursday night as members of two communities clashed, leading to stone pelting and vandalism of vehicles. According to the Dehradun police, the incident involved a minor girl from Badaun in Uttar Pradesh and a local man from a different faith.

The dispute intensified when a crowd gathered, resulting in arguments and further chaos. Both the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) detained the individuals for questioning.

Authorities later discovered that the girl had a missing person report filed in Badaun. "The incident at Dehradun Railway Station involved a minor girl and a man in heated discussions. Suspicious, the RPF and GRP brought them in for questioning. The police found a missing report had been filed in Badaun," said Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh. Police arrived to disperse the crowd and have registered a case against unidentified individuals involved in the misconduct.

SSP Ajay Singh added, "During interrogation, it was found to be a matter related to different communities. A crowd gathered, leading to arguments, stone pelting, and vehicle vandalism. The police brought the situation under control and filed a case at Kotwali Nagar police station."
