Three Naxals, including two men and one woman, were killed in an intense encounter with security forces in the forests of Abujhmad, near the Chhattisgarh-Maharashtra border, according to a statement from the Narayanpur police on Monday. An AK-47 and various other arms and ammunition were seized during the operation.

The police reported that security forces initiated a search operation after receiving intelligence about the presence of Maoists in the Maad area, situated near the border of Maharashtra's Narayanpur district. The encounter commenced around 4 pm on Monday, officials confirmed.
