A PIL aiming for action against Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu over remarks about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been withdrawn from the Delhi High Court. Advocate Shahsi Ranjan, representing the petitioner, informed the court that multiple FIRs had been filed against Bittu across various states regarding the same issue.

The PIL, filed by Hindu Sena chief Surjit Singh Yadav, came after Bittu made inflammatory comments on September 15, 2024, claiming Gandhi was unpatriotic and linking him to separatists and terrorists. Yadav argued that these statements were false, derogatory, and likely to incite public unrest. Youth Congress workers had already protested against Bittu's remarks.

Ravneet Singh Bittu recently criticized Rahul Gandhi during his visit to the United States, calling him the 'number one terrorist' and accusing him of misrepresenting India internationally. Bittu, who switched from Congress to BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, alleged Gandhi's comments have been endorsed by separatists and individuals involved in making bombs and weapons.
