RMC Switchgears Limited has secured a prestigious contract from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to develop a 41 MW solar photovoltaic power project. This undertaking falls under the RESCO model as part of the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0, aimed at solarizing agricultural feeders under the PM-KUSUM Scheme.

The project, awarded through a competitive process and an e-reverse auction, will see MSEDCL purchasing the generated power at a fixed tariff approved by the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) for 25 years. Implementation will span various sites specified by MSEDCL in Maharashtra.

This development marks a significant step for RMC Switchgears in expanding its renewable energy footprint, aligning with India's climate action agreements and contributing toward the national goal of achieving 450 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
