In a swift operation, Punjab Police, in collaboration with Central Agencies and Delhi Police, apprehended the second suspect in the Chandigarh Grenade Blast case within 72 hours. According to the police, USA-based gangster Harpreet Singh, known as Happy Passia, coordinated the attack under the directives of Pakistan-based Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist Harvinder Singh, alias Rinda, and ISI. Passia reportedly supplied explosives, weapons, and logistical support to the suspect but failed to fulfill promised rewards.

Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav announced the arrest of Vishal Masih, son of Sabi Masih, from Delhi. Yadav stated that on Wednesday evening, the two suspects detonated a grenade in Sector 10, Chandigarh, prompting an immediate response from Punjab Police and Central Agencies. These agencies also captured another suspect, Rohan Masih, in possession of weapons and ammunition. Both suspects are currently undergoing interrogation.

DGP Yadav highlighted how Happy Passia provided funds and assistance to the accused, but after the crime, reneged on financial promises. Yadav warned the public, particularly the youth, against falling prey to deceptive terrorist handlers who exploit individuals and then discard them without fulfilling promised rewards. The ongoing investigation aims to reveal the extent of this conspiracy and local networks, with Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Amritsar actively involved in the proceedings.
