Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has condemned the recent attack on a young Army officer, his friend, and the alleged sexual assault of their female companion in Indore. Gandhi described the incident as a disgrace for society, criticizing the BJP for failing to maintain law and order.
In a post on social media platform X, Gandhi said, "The violence against two soldiers and the rape of their female companion in Madhya Pradesh is enough to bring shame to the entire society." He attributed the audacity of criminals to the administrative failure in BJP-ruled states, raising concerns about women's safety.
On Thursday, police reported the arrest of two individuals connected to the assault, with efforts ongoing to apprehend four more suspects. Indore Rural SP Hitika Vasal revealed that 10 police teams are investigating the incident, which occurred at an Army firing range. Authorities are awaiting further details as investigations continue.
