Integrated energy solutions provider Apraava Energy announced on Thursday that it has secured a 300 MW solar project from NTPC, the state-owned power giant.
The installation will be located in Rajasthan and is expected to be completed within 24 months. Secured through an e-reverse auction at a tariff of Rs 2.65 per kWh, Apraava signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC for the project, which will be connected to the Interstate Transmission System (ISTS).
This new venture marks a significant expansion of Apraava's presence in Rajasthan, adding to its initial 250 MW greenfield solar project announced earlier this year. Currently, Apraava operates three wind projects in Rajasthan with a combined capacity of 253.6 MW. The company's managing director, Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, expressed excitement about the company's largest solar project to date. The agreement stipulates that Apraava will build, own, and operate the project for a 25-year period. Apraava's renewable energy portfolio now includes 1,420 MW of operational projects spread across various states, with an additional 900 MW under construction.
