Uttarakhand's picturesque destinations are abuzz as tourists flock to celebrate the New Year amid clear weather and recent snowfall. Notable spots like Kedarkanth, Harshil, and Dayara have become popular New Year destinations, drawing visitors from across the country.
On Tuesday alone, more than 3,000 tourists arrived at Harshil, Dayara, and Sankri, with over 5,000 reportedly staying in the district's major tourist hubs. Local businesses, including hotels and eateries, have prepared meticulously to welcome the influx.
Authorities have implemented enhanced security measures in response to the increased tourist activity. Teams equipped with satellite phones and necessary gear are patrolling to ensure safety, while necessary machinery is at the ready to maintain road accessibility. District Magistrate Meherban Singh Bisht has directed swift action to ensure a seamless experience for all visitors.
