Walmart Foundation Grants $2.78M for Tech Innovation in Indian Agriculture
Walmart Foundation has provided three grants totaling USD 2.78 million to support technological advancements in India's agriculture sector. Partnering with NEN, Cornell University, and PxD, the initiative aims to benefit over 300,000 farmers by enhancing livelihoods, market access, and sustainable practices, aspiring to reach 1 million farmers by 2028.
The Walmart Foundation has committed three new grants, amounting to USD 2.78 million, to fuel technological innovation in India's agricultural sector.
With this fresh funding, the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN), Cornell University via the Tata-Cornell Institute for Agriculture and Nutrition (TCI), and Precision Development (PxD) aim to positively impact over 300,000 farmers across India.
Through these grants, Walmart.org continues its philanthropic mission of improving farmer livelihoods, increasing market access, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. Their ultimate goal is to support 1 million smallholder farmers in India by 2028.
