Elon Musk, the dynamic CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, could become the world's first trillionaire by 2027. This revelation comes from an Informa Connect Academy report, which also predicts Indian magnate Gautam Adani to achieve the milestone a year later.
For Musk to reach this status, his wealth, currently at USD 237 billion, needs to grow at an average rate of 110 per cent annually. Meanwhile, Adani, ranking 13th on the world billionaire index with USD 100 billion, could become the second trillionaire if his conglomerate maintains a 123 per cent growth rate.
Asia's richest man, Mukesh Ambani, whose net worth stands at USD 111 billion, may hit the trillionaire mark by 2033. His conglomerate, Reliance Industries, is expected to achieve a trillion-dollar market cap by 2035, marking it the first Indian company to do so.
