Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Monday lambasted Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over his recent statements about the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) made during his visit to the United States. Singh asserted that the Congress party, under Gandhi's leadership, would require numerous lifetimes to grasp the ethos of the RSS, which he described as being rooted deeply in India's cultural and moral values.

'If there were a way to consult Gandhi's grandmother about the RSS's role, it would be revealed in historic depictions that Gandhi cannot comprehend. A traitor cannot learn about the RSS, those who criticize the country abroad cannot understand its essence,' Singh pronounced. He emphasized that RSS is integral to Indian values and culture, a dimension Gandhi purportedly fails to grasp.

Furthermore, Singh pointed out that the Indian electorate has thrice rejected Congress under Gandhi's leadership. Highlighting India's substantial growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Make in India' initiative, Singh accused Gandhi of overlooking the nation's progress and instead eulogizing China. Singh also suggested that Gandhi's statements could warrant charges of treason, given their disparaging nature toward India.

Echoing Singh's sentiments, BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal criticized Gandhi's remarks on unemployment, labeling them as irresponsible. Khandelwal credited PM Modi's policies for creating new job opportunities and blamed lingering unemployment issues on previous Congress regimes.

In contrast, during his US visit, Rahul Gandhi emphasized the need for production to generate employment, criticizing both India and the West for focusing on consumption over production. He cited examples of nations like China and Vietnam that do not face unemployment issues due to their focus on manufacturing.

Gandhi also differentiated between the ideologies of RSS and Congress, with the former advocating for unity under a singular national vision and the latter supporting a pluralistic approach, akin to that of the United States. He argued that India's constitution respects diverse languages, religions, and traditions, which he claimed are under threat from current government policies.

Rahul Gandhi commenced his three-day visit to the US in Dallas, Texas, where he was greeted by Sam Pitroda, Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress, and members of the Indian diaspora.
