Telangana Government Reshuffles Top Police Officials

The Telangana government has appointed IPS officer CV Anand as the new Commissioner of Hyderabad Police, replacing Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy. The reshuffle also includes Vijay Kumar's transfer as DG, ACB, and Mahesh M Bhagwat taking additional charge of ADG (Personnel and Welfare).

The Telangana government on Saturday made significant changes in its top police hierarchy, appointing IPS officer CV Anand as the new Commissioner of Hyderabad Police. Anand, who previously served as Director General, Anti Corruption Bureau, replaces Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy. Reddy now steps into the role of Director General, Vigilance and Enforcement.

The reshuffling did not stop there. Replacing Anand, Vijay Kumar, the Additional Director General of Police (Personnel), has been transferred and posted as the Director General of the Anti Corruption Bureau, according to a government order issued by Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari. Additionally, Mahesh M Bhagwat, the Additional Director General (Law and Order), has been assigned the full additional charge of the post of ADG (Personnel and Welfare) until further orders.

In another important move, M Ramesh, Inspector General of Police, Provisioning and Logistics, Office of the Director General of Police, has been given the full additional charge of the post of IG of Police (Sports) until further notice.
