Odisha CM Inaugurates IT Centres, Aims for USD 1.5 Trillion Economy by 2047
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated operation centers for four major IT companies, aiming to transform the state into a USD 1.5 trillion economy by 2047. Officials emphasize Odisha's rapid industrial growth and its potential in emerging technologies.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday inaugurated the operational centers of four leading companies in the IT sector - Chubb Business Services, Integreon Managed Solutions, Bourntec Solutions, and Secuodsoft Technologies. Majhi emphasized the state's goal to become a USD 500 billion economy by 2036 and a USD 1.5 trillion economy by 2047.
"The presence of these companies in Odisha showcases our commitment to nurturing a business-friendly environment. From IT to manufacturing, and from research and development to professional services, Odisha's industrial landscape is rapidly expanding," Majhi remarked. He reiterated the significant role that the IT and larger services sector will play in achieving the state's economic targets.
Minister for Electronics & IT, Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, highlighted Bhubaneswar's emergence as a top choice for IT companies among Tier 2 cities. "With the confidence that investors place in us, we aim to make Odisha a key hub for emerging technologies by 2047," Mahaling said. Principal Secretary Vishal Dev also noted Bhubaneswar's growing reputation as a sought-after IT/ITeS center, with software exports reaching USD 1 billion and expected to grow exponentially.
