A fire erupted in the Times Tower building in Mumbai's Lower Parel West on Friday morning, officials reported. The blaze started at 6:47 am, though no casualties have been reported.

Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and used chisel hammers to break door locks from the second to the 14th floor. 'The fire is now completely under control,' said a fire officer, noting that smoke and poor ventilation posed challenges. 'We are currently checking for injuries,' he added.

Additional allegations surfaced from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Sandeep Deshpande, who accused local representatives of supporting illegal construction in the Kamala Mills Compound. 'This is the third fire in five years, and there's been no fire audit of the building,' he stated, calling for action against those responsible.

Ambulances and police assisted in the operation, and investigations are ongoing. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
