Wells Fargo Expands Transgender Hiring Program in India
Wells Fargo has expanded its talent strategy by introducing the Transgender Persons Hiring Program in India. This initiative, enhancing diversity and inclusion, builds on a previous pilot and aims to train more transgender individuals across various business lines in 2024 to boost employability and professional development.

Leading financial services company Wells Fargo announced on Thursday the expansion of its talent attraction strategy with the launch of the Transgender Persons Hiring Program in India. This initiative aims to increase diverse representation across all levels of the organization.
Initially piloted in 2022 with 13 hires in its technology function, the program is set to train and attract additional transgender talent across multiple business lines by 2024, according to a company statement.
Uday Odedra, executive vice president and Region head of Wells Fargo India & Philippines, emphasized the company's focus on investing in diverse communities to upskill potential and establish successful environments.
