Tragic Warehouse Fire in Nellore Claims Life

A fierce fire at Bhavani Traders firecracker storage in Nellore claimed a watchman's life while destroying the facility. Authorities are investigating the cause.

A devastating fire erupted at a firecracker storage warehouse in Kallurupalli Housing Board, Nellore district, on Wednesday, resulting in the death of the watchman, Subbiah. While the blaze destroyed the Bhavani Traders storage facility, a young worker at the site narrowly escaped unharmed. Firefighters responded swiftly, preventing further damage.

Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, Nellore RDO Malol, and other revenue officials inspected the site. Rural CI Venu is investigating to determine the cause of the fire. 'In Nellore city outskirts, a major fire broke out at Bhavani Traders (firecracker storage) near Kallurupalli Housing Board. The firecracker manufacturing center was destroyed, and the watchman was charred to death,' stated Rural CI Venu.

The warehouse's location on the outskirts prevented additional casualties or major property damage beyond the immediate area. Investigations are underway, and more details are awaited.
