A bomb threat on Air India flight AI-471 from Delhi to Vishakhapatnam was confirmed to be a hoax, authorities announced on Wednesday. The security scare began with a call to the Delhi Police from a passenger, which prompted a series of alerts to Air India security officials in both Delhi and Visakhapatnam.

Upon the aircraft's arrival at Visakhapatnam Airport, it was inspected by Air India security teams and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). After diligently executing all necessary protocols, no threats were found, and the plane was cleared for its return journey to Delhi.

Delhi Police are currently pursuing the individual responsible for the false alarm. Despite the tension, the situation was handled efficiently, ensuring passenger safety at all times.
