General Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defence Staff, will deliver the opening address at the Joint Commanders' Conference set to take place at the Headquarters, Central Command in Lucknow on September 4 and 5. The conference's theme is 'Sashakt aur Surakshit Bharat: Transforming the Armed Forces,' highlighting the ongoing efforts to bolster India's military capabilities.

On September 5, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will review the nation's defence preparedness and address the top-tier military leadership. According to a Defence Ministry release, the conference will consider the current volatility in both regional and global environments to deduce feasible operational and employment scenarios. Resource matching and threat analysis will be key elements in developing a robust future war concept.

The event will also offer commanders a platform to evaluate modernization plans and discuss strategies to improve national defense capabilities through jointness and enhanced synergy among the three Services. Notably, Lucknow, the conference venue, is also the parliamentary constituency of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
