Tragic Boat Capsizing in Ganga Claims Lives of Two Farmers
Two farmers drowned after their boat capsized in the Ganga river in Bijnor district, western Uttar Pradesh. A third farmer managed to swim to safety. The incident happened while they were collecting fodder, and rescue efforts are ongoing to locate the missing individuals.

Two farmers drowned in the Ganga river on Tuesday in western Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district after their boat capsized while they were collecting fodder for their livestock, police reported.
A third farmer, who was also on the boat, managed to swim to safety. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon in the Mandawar police station area.
Mandawar police station in-charge Madhav Singh Bisht said, 'One of the three farmers, identified as Yusuf, managed to swim to safety. Efforts are ongoing to locate the two missing individuals.' Bisht added that the boat overturned due to the swift current of the river. Divers are actively searching for the two missing farmers -- Shamshad (43) and Shamoon (35).
