On Tuesday, REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) officially transferred the Tumkur-II REZ Power Transmission Ltd project to G R Infraprojects.

G R Infraprojects Ltd (GRIL) secured its position as the transmission service provider via a tariff-based competitive bidding process managed by RECPDCL, according to a company statement. This project includes the construction of a 400/220 kV, 4X500 MVA pooling station near Tumkur, Karnataka, as well as 27.2 kilometers of 400 kV line with associated works.

The project is slated for completion within 24 months. RECPDCL, a subsidiary of REC Ltd, offers consultancy and project implementation services to various state power distribution companies and departments. It also serves as a bid process coordinator for both inter-state and intrastate transmission projects and RE-Bundling projects developed through competitive bidding.
