Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member of Parliament Sanjay Singh has accused the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of conducting investigations with malicious intent against AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan. Singh's allegations came as ED officials raided Khan's residence in Okhla, New Delhi, early Monday morning.
Despite repeated reprimands from the Supreme Court cautioning the ED against malicious investigations, the raid on Khan's home proceeded. Singh highlighted that Khan's mother-in-law, who is battling cancer, had recently undergone surgery, adding to the raid's insensitivity. Singh criticized the ongoing investigation, noting that even after six years, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had not arrested Khan or found evidence of economic crimes.
Amanatullah Khan, in a post on social media platform X, stated, "ED people have just arrived at my house to arrest me." He further claimed that the investigative agency had been harassing him continuously for the past two years with an intent to destabilize the AAP. Khan expressed confidence in receiving justice as he had in the past, calling the case against him completely fake.
