Air Marshal Tejinder Singh Takes Command As Deputy Chief Of Indian Air Force

Air Marshal Tejinder Singh has assumed the office of Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (DCAS) at Air Headquarters in New Delhi. With over 4500 hours of flying experience, he will oversee critical aircraft projects and modernization efforts in the Indian Air Force.

Air Marshal Tejinder Singh has been appointed as the Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (DCAS) of the Indian Air Force. The ceremony took place at Air Headquarters (Vayu Bhawan) in New Delhi. Shortly after assuming his new role, Air Marshal Singh paid tribution to fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.

With a distinguished career that began upon his commissioning into the fighter stream of the IAF on June 13, 1987, Air Marshal Singh brings extensive experience. He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and boasts over 4500 hours of flying. His academic credentials include graduating from the Defence Service Staff College and National Defence College. Over the years, he has commanded a Fighter Squadron, a Radar Station, and a premier Fighter Base, and has served as Air Officer Commanding in Jammu and Kashmir.

Air Marshal Singh's key staff positions have been diverse, including roles such as Operational Staff at Command HQ, Deputy Assistant Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, and Assistant Chief of Air Staff Operations (Offensive). He has also recently served as the Senior Air Staff Officer at HQ Eastern Air Command at Shillong, Meghalaya. Honored with the Vayu Sena Medal in 2007 and Ati Vishist Seva Medal in 2022 for his meritorious services, Air Marshal Singh steps into his new role at a time when the Indian Air Force is advancing on multiple significant aircraft and weapon system projects.
