The Saket Court in Delhi has dismissed the appeal of former MLA Asif Mohd. Khan, confirming a six-month imprisonment sentence for encroachment on Delhi Development Authority (DDA) land in Jasola Village. Khan is also required to pay a compensation of Rs 5 Lakh to the DDA.

Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Vishal Singh upheld the 2018 judgement and sentence order delivered by the Metropolitan Magistrate. The court found that the trial court rightly assessed evidence to convict Khan for offences under sections 427, 447, and 434 of the IPC, and Section 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984.

The court dismissed the arguments presented by Khan, supporting the prosecution's evidence and testimonies. Despite an incomplete testimony from a prosecution witness, the court concluded that the offences of trespass and mischief were sufficiently proven by other DDA officials and witnesses.
