Delhi residents experienced severe traffic congestion and water-logging on Thursday morning as heavy rainfall lashed the national capital. In Dhaula Kuan, commuters faced significant delays, with many seen wading through waterlogged streets.

The Delhi Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory for those traveling between Khanpur and Shooting Range T-Point on MB Road, citing water-logging as the cause for the disruptions. 'Traffic is affected on MB Road in both the carriageways from Khanpur towards Shooting Range T-Point and vice versa due to water logging. Kindly plan your journey accordingly,' officials tweeted.

Traffic also suffered on Rohtak Road, particularly from Nangloi towards Tikri Border, due to potholes and water-logging. Similarly, delays were reported on Outer Ring Road from Bhera Roundabout to Peeragarhi because of drainage overflow. Meanwhile, the Regional Meteorological Centre of New Delhi issued an orange alert for South and East Delhi, while the IMD declared a yellow alert for other parts of the capital.

Delhi and the National Capital Region received consistent rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning on Wednesday. Earlier, light to moderate rain had struck several parts of the city on Tuesday, leaving the sky overcast throughout the day, according to ANI reports.
