New Arunachal Bhawan Inaugurated in Tinsukia, Assam: A Beacon of Unity

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu officially inaugurated the new Arunachal Bhawan in Tinsukia, Assam, on Wednesday. Khandu dedicated the state-of-the-art facility to the people of the state, particularly those from the eastern Arunachal districts. He emphasized that the new Bhawan symbolizes the enduring bond between the people of Arunachal and Assam.
Situated in Bordoloi Nagar near Civil Hospital and adjacent to Chalina Nagar Naamghar, the facility stands on land donated by the Assam Government. It replaces the old Inspection Bungalow and now provides a modern space for residents visiting Assam for health check-ups, business, and other needs. Khandu expressed satisfaction over the quality of the work and praised the Public Works Department (PWD) Eastern Zone and the construction agency for completing the project in just two years.
State officials said the new Bhawan, which includes a state-of-the-art cultural hall, would also assist the Tinsukia district administration. Similar projects have been completed in Dibrugarh, Tezpur, Guwahati, and Bodh Gaya. Khandu announced upcoming projects in Dwarka, New Delhi, and a replacement for the current Bhawan in New Delhi. He reiterated the strong bonds between the people of Assam and Arunachal, thanking local officials and community leaders for their support. He also commended Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for his efforts in the development of the North East under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
