Gensol Engineering, a Gujarat-based renewable energy specialist, announced on Wednesday that it has set up a new subsidiary in the United States, named Scorpius Trackers Inc. This arm aims to supply over 2,000 MW of solar trackers annually by 2028 to key renewable energy markets.
The subsidiary will be based in California, strategically placing it within one of the world's most dynamic renewable energy markets. Gensol Engineering emphasized its extensive experience, noting it has contracted over 1,000 MW of orders in key markets such as India, Africa, Japan, and the Middle East.
The US solar tracker market is the largest globally, deploying over 25,000 MW annually. With a robust compound annual growth rate (CAGR) exceeding 20%, Gensol Engineering sees this as a significant opportunity for market expansion.
