Union Home Minister Amit Shah engaged with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and State Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi to address the impact of heavy rains and flood-like conditions plaguing various regions of Gujarat, assuring them that the central government is ready to provide any needed assistance.

In anticipation of further heavy rains, the State Emergency Operation Center, headed by Chief Secretary Rajkumar, convened a review meeting on August 25. During the meeting, Gujarat's Chief Secretary urged various department Nodal Officers, District Collectors, and Municipal Commissioners to maintain heightened vigilance against potential dangers.

An India Meteorological Department official provided detailed forecasts, prompting the Chief Secretary to direct district administrations to undertake necessary preparations and ensure that officers and employees remain stationed at their headquarters. Special attention was mandated in areas with large gatherings due to Shravan festivities, and in-charge secretaries were instructed to be present in their districts to guide administrative efforts.
