The Special Cell of the Delhi Police announced on Sunday the successful dismantling of an inter-state cartel involved in the supply of illegal arms. Authorities arrested two key operatives and seized eight pistols intended for the Delhi/NCR region. The weapons were procured from Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, police reported.

The suspects, identified as Arvind Kumar and Vinod Kumar, are residents of Uttar Pradesh. They were reportedly involved in the supply chain of illegal firearms and had ties with illicit arms manufacturers based in Madhya Pradesh.

Police investigations revealed that the accused utilized social media platforms to facilitate illegal arms transactions. Firearms were bought in Madhya Pradesh for approximately Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000 per pistol and sold in the Delhi market for Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 each. A case has been filed under relevant sections of the Arms Act, and further investigation is underway to trace the wider network.
