The office bearers of Uttarakhand Rajya Andolankari Manch met Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday at Mukhya Sevak Sadan, located at the Chief Minister's residence. The office bearers expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for arranging a 10 percent horizontal reservation in government service for the state agitators.

Chief Minister Dhami emphasized the government's goal of realizing the dream of the state agitators. He assured that the people would always remember their struggle for the formation of Uttarakhand. He stated his commitment to prioritizing the development of the state in line with the agitators' dreams.

Dhami, who has witnessed the Khatima uprising, underscored that the state government would never forget the sacrifices of the state agitators. He highlighted the implementation of the 10 percent job reservation, an essential demand that has now been fulfilled. Additionally, the government has decided to extend pensions to the dependents of the martyred agitators.

The Chief Minister outlined the ongoing developmental strides, noting that Uttarakhand ranks first in the NITI Aayog's development index. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance for the state's progress, emphasizing significant investments under central schemes worth about ₹2 lakh crores.

Efforts towards making Uttarakhand a drug-free state were also discussed, calling for collective responsibility. Dhami talked about the investor summit's success in attracting industrial investments, which he said would create employment opportunities and help curb migration.

On illegal encroachments, the Chief Minister reported that approximately 5000 acres of land have been reclaimed. He urged everyone to support the state's developmental initiatives. The meeting was attended by notable figures, including Uttarakhand State Movement Forum President Jagmohan Singh Negi and former Vice President of Uttarakhand State Movement Welfare Council Ravindra Jugran, among others.
