Teacher Arrested for Alleged Sexual Harassment of 13-Year-Old Student in Pune

A 42-year-old teacher in a village in Daund tehsil, Pune Rural, has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a 13-year-old female student. Authorities stated that the teacher sent obscene messages via WhatsApp and inappropriately touched the girl at school.

The headmaster of the school has also been arrested for failing to report the incident after the student's father lodged a complaint. According to police, the student's father discovered the inappropriate messages before August 15. When he informed the headmaster, his concerns were reportedly ignored, resulting in the headmaster's arrest.

Both individuals have been charged under pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The Pune Rural Police is conducting an ongoing investigation to uncover further details. More information is awaited.
