The Madhya Pradesh government has officially mandated the statewide celebration of Krishna Janmashtami on August 26. According to an order issued on August 21, the government suggested that temples dedicated to Lord Krishna be cleaned and cultural programs be organized in every district.

The order, addressed to all Divisional Commissioners and District Collectors, also emphasized that lectures by scholars on topics related to Lord Krishna's teachings, friendships, and life philosophy should be held in government and non-government schools and colleges across the state. Special events and cultural programs are to be organized at notable locations tied to Lord Krishna's life, such as Janapava (Dewas), Amjhera (Dhar), and Sandipani Ashram (Ujjain).

Additionally, the architecture of temple construction and its specialities, as per scriptures, should be prominently highlighted during the celebrations. The order encourages making society aware of the history, events, and narratives associated with these occasions. Lectures on Indian traditions and yoga are also suggested for schools and colleges on this festive day. (ANI)
