A significant protest erupted in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday as residents rallied against Mahant Ramgiri Maharaj. The protesters voiced their dissatisfaction over the Maharaj's controversial comments about Islam and Prophet Mohammed.

The demonstration took place at Jiwaji University gate, where participants also submitted a memorandum to the Gwalior SP office, addressed to the Nashik Commissioner of Police. They demanded legal action against Ramgiri Maharaj.

Protester Yusuf Abbas told ANI, "We learned from social media about a Baba in Nashik who insulted our Prophet Mohammed. The Baba, named Mahant Ramgiri Maharaj, has sparked global anger. We protested in Gwalior and asked for strict measures against him. Saints should foster peace, but this Baba aims to disrupt India's unity."
