Delhi Government Empowering MCD School Principals with IIM Training

Delhi Education Minister Atishi and Mayor Shaili Oberoi on Sunday engaged with 48 principals of MCD schools who recently returned from a five-day training program at IIM Ahmedabad, says an official statement. The principals discussed their experiences from the training, focusing on leadership, education quality, and parental involvement in education.

Atishi praised the principals' enthusiasm post-training. She highlighted that government school teachers and principals are often perceived as indifferent, but the principals' new zeal breaks this stereotype. She emphasized that this newfound energy would positively impact teachers and students in their schools.

Mayor Shaili Oberoi noted that, prior to 2022, teachers and principals in MCD schools received little attention. The Aam Aadmi Party government now fully respects and supports them. Oberoi stressed the importance of training for better school management and leadership, ensuring principals can provide top-tier education and facilities to their students.
