Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday inaugurated stalls by women's groups under the Chief Minister's Empowered Bahana Utsav Yojana and Women Self Help Group Empowerment Scheme at the Secretariat. During this event, the Chief Minister also purchased local products like ghee, showcasing his support for local artisans.

Chief Minister Dhami emphasized that the state government is dedicated to advancing women self-help groups through various initiatives. He noted that these groups are producing high-quality local products, which are gaining recognition and creating new job opportunities. Dhami highlighted that before Raksha Bandhan, self-help groups are also making Rakhis, and the government is ensuring they have convenient platforms to sell their goods.

The Chief Minister urged residents of Uttarakhand to support local artisans by purchasing locally made Rakhis and other products for the upcoming Raksha Bandhan on August 19. Among the participating groups were Devbhoomi Self Help Group from Barowala, Vaibhav Laxmi Self Help Group from Dakpathar, Milan Self Help Group from Raipur, and several others. Raksha Bandhan, symbolic of the bond between siblings, is a traditional Hindu festival celebrated annually.
