Two bike riders vandalized a statue of Bhim Rao Ambedkar in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, prompting the state police to form three teams to arrest the suspects, officials said on Wednesday.

The incident took place in Wajidpur village under Thana Dadon in Aligarh. Police arrived swiftly after receiving information and registered a case against the offenders. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ravi Shankar Prasad stated, 'We visited the spot and discovered that two individuals on a bike had damaged the statue, breaking one finger on its right hand. The bike has been recovered and the suspects identified. Three teams are working to apprehend them and legal action will follow.'
