HCA Healthcare, a major global healthcare service provider, is poised to significantly expand its presence in Hyderabad, Telangana, by enhancing its Global Capability Center (GCC), according to a release from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) on Tuesday. This move follows the brief inauguration of an incubation facility in the city in March 2024.

Senior leaders from HCA Healthcare met with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Industries and Commerce Minister D Sridhar Babu to discuss the expansion plans, underscoring Hyderabad's strategic role in healthcare innovation. HCA Healthcare aims to leverage this expansion to advance technology and innovation in healthcare delivery.

The discussions highlighted the government's business-friendly environment as a key factor in HCA Healthcare's decision. Chief Minister Reddy expressed excitement about the expansion, noting that it reinforces Telangana's status as a preferred destination for global enterprises. The enhanced GCC will focus on attracting talent in AI, ML, data science, and analytics, serving as a vital hub for HCA Healthcare's global operations.

Emily Duncan, Senior Vice President of HCA Healthcare's Global Capabilities Network, emphasized the alignment of Hyderabad with the company's vision for growth and innovation. Minister Sridhar Babu reiterated the state's commitment to supporting HCA Healthcare, confident that Hyderabad will play a crucial role in improving lives worldwide.

HCA Healthcare, based in Nashville, operates 188 hospitals and around 2,400 care sites, including surgery centers and urgent care clinics, across 20 states in the U.S. and the UK. Founded in 1968, the company has revolutionized hospital care in the U.S. by leveraging combined resources to strengthen hospitals and enhance patient care.
