Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is vigilantly supervising the ongoing relief and rescue operations in disaster-stricken regions of the state, as per government officials. On Friday, Dhami summoned Secretary Home Shailesh Bagoli, Director General of Police Abhinav Kumar, and Commissioner Garhwal Vinay Shankar Pandey to the Secretariat for a comprehensive update on the disaster scenario and rescue efforts.

The Chief Minister emphasized the necessity of maintaining movement along the Kedarnath footpath and ensuring the safe return of stranded passengers. He directed that minimal time be taken to address road obstructions caused by heavy rainfall.

Dhami also instructed the immediate construction of a Bailey bridge in cases of bridge collapse and stressed the importance of uninterrupted drinking water and electricity supply. He advised officials to maintain thorough arrangements on the Chardham Yatra routes for the convenience of pilgrims.

Furthermore, Dhami highlighted the need to halt passengers at secure locations if the Yatra routes present dangers due to severe weather. He ordered all relevant officers, including District Magistrates, to stay on high alert in response to the disaster situation. (ANI)
