In a landmark move to bridge the digital divide, the Government Middle School in Baryal, Udhampur district, now boasts a state-of-the-art smart classroom. This initiative, launched by the Department of Social Welfare under the flagship PM Adarsh Gram Yojana, aims to revolutionize rural education by introducing modern teaching methodologies and resources.

As part of the Prime Minister's Adarsh Gram Scheme, various developmental projects have been initiated in Udhampur district. The region, which initially had 31 model villages, now includes 50 model villages with the sanction of 19 additional ones.

These model villages have been equipped with solar lights, clean water facilities, smart classrooms, libraries, and other essential amenities, thanks to the Union Government. The new smart classroom underscores the government's commitment to improving educational standards in government schools.

Featuring the latest technology, such as interactive LED screens, comfortable desks, and a reliable power backup, the classroom offers an immersive learning environment. Students now have the opportunity to engage with digital content, participate in interactive sessions, and explore knowledge beyond textbooks.

Baryal village, once plagued by limited educational opportunities, has become a beacon of hope for the region. The introduction of the smart classroom is expected to inspire students to aim higher and reach their full potential.

This initiative marks a significant step towards creating equal educational opportunities for students in rural areas. The school community has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the government for this remarkable development.

Students believe the smart classroom will not only enhance academic performance but also spark a passion for learning. "We used to study with books earlier, but now our classes have turned into smart classes," said Ayush, a class 8 student. "We have switched to LED learning now. I want to thank the government for this."

Preeti Sharma, another student, echoed similar sentiments: "Smart classes have made it easier for us to learn after the LEDs were set up in the classes. We used to learn with books earlier, but now we have switched to a smarter way of learning and studying."

With the successful implementation of the smart classroom project in Baryal, the government has set a new standard for rural development. It is hoped that this model will be replicated across other villages in India, empowering the youth with the tools they need to succeed in the 21st century.
