In a harrowing incident, three UPSC aspirants lost their lives in the waterlogged basement of an IAS coaching center in Old Rajinder Nagar, West Delhi. The tragic accident has stirred controversy, leading Shiv Sena UBT leader Priyanka Chaturvedi to condemn the state of infrastructure and call the deaths a result of negligence.

Addressing ANI, Chaturvedi highlighted the flaws in tax policies and continuing unemployment issues, criticizing the handling of urban drainage systems. She labeled the unfortunate deaths as 'murder' due to the systemic failure to address known issues. 'The whole infrastructure collapse is very unfortunate. Children leave their homes to study here; this is not just a death, it's a murder,' she declared.

She slammed the lack of action from authorities, questioning why the Lieutenant Governor was uninformed about the dire conditions and demanding accountability from all levels of government. Following the tragedy, the MCD sealed 13 coaching centre basements in Karol Bagh, citing building by-law violations. The Delhi Police have arrested seven individuals, including the owner and coordinator of the coaching centre, on charges of culpable homicide.
