Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has ordered district magistrates to remain on high alert as they coordinate with relief and rescue teams amid continuous heavy rains in the state. According to an official release from the Chief Minister's office, Dhami is maintaining constant contact with officials in areas most affected by waterlogging.

All district magistrates have been instructed to stay vigilant in coordination with SDRF, NDRF, and other rescue teams. The Chief Minister has urged residents to leave their homes only for essential activities following a heavy rain alert issued by the Meteorological Department, indicating severe weather conditions at multiple locations.

Dhami emphasized that the safety of residents and visitors is the government's top priority. Disaster Management Authority Joint CEO Mohammad Obaidulla Ansari revealed that an orange alert has been issued for Dehradun and Bageshwar, with a yellow alert in other districts. Districts have been cautioned in disaster control rooms following the weather alert, ensuring no reports of cloudbursts so far.

Efforts are ongoing to reopen the 205 blocked roads, with 60 already cleared. Rising river levels have prompted continuous warnings. In a tragic incident, a woman and her daughter were buried under debris due to a landslide triggered by heavy rains in Ghansali village. The body of Sarita Devi has been recovered, while her daughter's search continues.

The SDRF team, led by Chief Constable Kuldeep Singh from Post Ghansali, is conducting the rescue operations. Heavy rains have triggered multiple landslides in the hilly regions of Uttarakhand over the past few days, causing significant passage blockages, including on the Badrinath highway.
