After the Supreme Court on Tuesday declined to cancel the NEET-UG 2024 exam, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan sharply criticized Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition, for allegedly misleading and provoking students across the nation. 'After this historic judgement of the Supreme Court, I would like to say Satyameva Jayate,' said Pradhan.

In a New Delhi press conference held hours after the Supreme Court ruling, Pradhan lambasted Gandhi, stating, 'The opposition's intentions are crystal clear following this ruling by the Supreme Court.' Criticizing Gandhi for his previous statements, Pradhan added, 'By dismissing the examination system and terming it 'rubbish,' Rahul Gandhi has shown his mental state. His actions of misleading students and stirring social tensions were well-planned political moves.'

Pradhan demanded that the opposition apologize to students and parents for their 'irresponsible actions.' He asserted, 'Rejecting electoral results and creating civil unrest have become part of their strategy. I urge them to apologize to the students, youth, and parents of the country.'

The senior BJP leader accused the Congress MP of attempting to spread civil discord. 'Rahul Gandhi has hurt the nation, tried to create anarchy, and conspired to cause civil unrest. The country will not forgive him. While political rivalry exists, students belong to all of us,' Pradhan emphasized.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi reiterated the significance of the NEET issue and pledged ongoing pressure on the government. 'Education Minister Pradhan should have addressed this matter. Despite mentioning the Supreme Court and PM Modi, he hasn't clarified his actions regarding NEET. This issue is critical for the youth, and we will continue to demand parliamentary discussions and hold the government accountable,' Gandhi told reporters.
