As Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey on Monday, EaseMyTrip co-founder Rikant Pitti confidently forecasted that India's GDP growth rate will surpass the Survey's projected 7%. Speaking to ANI, Pitti highlighted the consistent growth, citing last year's 6.5% rate and projected improvements.

Focusing on the tourism sector, Pitti urged the government to prioritize this area due to its significant employment potential. He stated, 'Tourism is a key link between industry and the local populace. With increasing investment in India, expanding our tourism categories could boost employment.'

Sitharaman, who will present the Union Budget 2024 today, had already created a milestone by tabling the Economic Survey 2023-24, which outlines the possibility of India achieving a stable 7% growth. The survey emphasized the need for cohesive efforts between the government and private sector to tackle global challenges and leverage structural reforms.
