Commending Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's tree plantation drive 'Jahan Vikas Wahan Vrindavan', Delhi Minister Gopal Rai announced the initiative aims to improve the capital's environment. Rai highlighted that development continues in Delhi but now, with a focus on environmental enhancement through widespread tree planting.

'We planted two crore trees in four years. This year, all Delhi government agencies are targeting 64 lakh trees. To make it a mass movement, I am visiting various constituencies to distribute trees and inform citizens,' said Rai. On X, he noted Kejriwal's goal to boost Delhi's green cover, citing sapling distribution in Rajouri Garden.

Simultaneously, the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign by PM Modi sees UP CM Yogi Adityanath promoting sapling plantations at Gorakhpur Zoo. 'Every institution statewide is joining the initiative, planting trees to save the environment,' said Adityanath. Over seven years, UP has achieved a record 168 crore plantings thanks to public participation. Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya echoed, 'Plant trees for the nation and future. UP plays a significant role in this campaign.'
