U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has underscored the critical need for maintaining and fostering the U.S.-China relationship. Speaking at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin, Texas, Yellen stated that she anticipates another meeting soon with her Chinese counterpart, Vice Premier He Lifeng.

Yellen expressed openness to a visit by He Lifeng to the United States but did not rule out the possibility of making another trip to China herself. She highlighted that the next U.S. administration must prioritize these relations.

'My guess is that we will have, one way or another, a visit,' Yellen remarked, indicating that diplomatic engagements between the two economic superpowers are imminent.
