Tragic Drowning Incident Claims Lives of Four Children in Rajasthan

Four children, including two brothers, drowned in an artificial pond in Rajasthan's Banswara. The children, aged 6 to 12, were returning from school when they stopped to bathe in the pond. Their bodies were found after family members raised the alarm, and a postmortem is pending.

Four children, including two brothers, drowned in an artificial pond in Rajasthan's Banswara, police reported on Friday. The children, aged between 6 and 12, had stopped at the pond while returning home from school to take a bath but tragically drowned in deep water.

After the children failed to return home, their families began searching for them and informed the police, who later recovered the bodies.

'Four children, including two brothers, drowned in a pond. All of them were from the same village. The bodies will be handed over to family members tomorrow after postmortem,' Sajjangarh Station House Officer (SHO) Nagendra Singh said. The victims have been identified as Shailendra (6) and Rohit (8), sons of Raju Dodiyar; Saynesh (8), son of Devchand; and Hemant (12), son of Dinesh Dodiyar, according to police.
