Ohmium Launches State-of-the-Art Green Hydrogen Gigafactory in Doddaballapura

Ohmium International, a green hydrogen company, announced the opening of its new gigafactory near Bengaluru. The 2GW factory, expandable to 4GW, will produce Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolysers to meet rising global demand. Minister MB Patil emphasized the government's focus on clean energy for sustainable development.

Ohmium International, a leader in green hydrogen technology, officially launched its advanced gigafactory in Doddaballapura, near Bengaluru. The company is set to manufacture Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolysers at this new facility.

Spanning approximately 14,000 square meters, the 2GW factory, which can be expanded to 4GW, aims to fulfil the burgeoning demand for green hydrogen from customers globally. This facility will ship fully assembled and tested electrolyser systems, significantly contributing to the company's global project pipeline.

At the inauguration, Minister for Large and Medium Industries MB Patil highlighted the state government's commitment to clean energy, essential for sustainable development. The current production capacity of 500 megawatts will gradually rise to 2,000 megawatts, fostering job creation. Green hydrogen, lauded as the pollution-free fuel of the future, can be utilized across various industries including fertilisers, refineries, steel production, and transportation. Ohmium's CEO Arne Ballantine emphasized that the gigafactory is a crucial step toward delivering green hydrogen solutions worldwide, capable of abating four million tons of CO2 annually.
