Star paddler Manika Batra led her team, PBG Bengaluru Smashers, to a 10-5 triumph over Puneri Paltan Table Tennis in the Ultimate Table Tennis 2024 on Monday.

Initially, Batra stumbled in her opening game against Ayhika Mukherjee, losing the first game. However, she bounced back to win the next two games, securing the match 2-1.

The day's second major clash saw an exciting face-off between 17-year-old Ankur Bhattacharjee of Puneri Paltan and Jeet Chandra of PBG Bengaluru Smashers, where Ankur emerged victorious with a 2-1 win.

In the mixed doubles, Batra teamed up with captain Alvaro Robles to defeat Puneri Paltan's Natalia Bajor and Anirban Ghosh 2-1. Robles continued his winning streak with another 2-1 victory over Joao Monteiro in the men's singles.

Finally, USA's Lily Zhang clinched victory for PBG Bengaluru Smashers by defeating Yashini Sivashankar, earning her and Batra the titles of Indian and Foreign Player of the Tie, respectively.
