President Murmu Appoints Permanent Judges in Bombay and Delhi High Courts
President Droupadi Murmu appoints seven additional judges of Bombay High Court and three of Delhi High Court as permanent judges. Two additional judges of Bombay High Court receive a one-year term extension.

President Droupadi Murmu on Friday confirmed the appointment of seven additional judges from the Bombay High Court and three from the Delhi High Court as permanent judges. The appointments mark a significant update in the judiciary.
The newly appointed permanent judges to the Bombay High Court include Yanshivraj Gopichand Khobragade, Mahendra Wadhumal Chandwani, Abhay Sopanrao Waghwase, Ravindra Madhusudan Joshi, Santosh Govindrao Chapalgaonkar, Milind Manohar Sathaye, and Dr. Neela Kedar Gokhalc. The Delhi High Court's inductees are Girish Kathpalia, Manoj Jain, and Dharmesh Sharma.
Additionally, two Bombay High Court judges, Sanjay Anandrao Deshmukh and Justice Vrushali Vijay Joshi, have been reappointed for an additional one-year term starting from October 7, 2024, according to a press release from the Union Ministry of Law and Justice (ANI).
